My ipod went through the washer by accident, how do I fix it?

First off, do not try to start up the ipod. You should let it dry out for at least a week before trying to power it up. Starting it while water is still inside will cause the electronics to fry. Once it it completely dried out you may want to purchase a new battery if your model allows it.

I have had this happen to me before and before you send it back the best thing to do is to let it dry out it might start working again. it worked for me.

you have to turn it off immediately if it is still on. You have to leave it somewhere warm and dry for at least few days before turning it on.

leave it off for and make sure the moisture is gone. You may sit it in rice to speed this up. I'm not hopeful though.

There probably is no way to fix it. You might contact apple to see if there is anything they could do about it for you.

keep your iPod in the sun light heat for a week, within one week all the water will dry from iPod then you charge your iPod it will work.
