My friend has a through-and-through gunshot wound in his calf. What over-the-counter treatment will heal it?

He needs to go to a hospital immediately, or he could end up losing that leg. The possibility of infection is huge, even if you use over-the-counter antiseptics on the wound.

Your friend needs medical attention to address the tissue damage as well as the infection that is developing. There is no OTC treatment. Your friend will be questioned by the police. What he tells them is up to him.

The most important thing you need to do is stop the bleeding, so you are going to need a lot of gauze and cotton swabs. Next, in order to heal you need to make sure it doesn't get infected, so keep it clean with peroxide and take tylenol to keep the swelling down.
