The 2 most likely causes of this sort of problem is either your fuel filter has gotten clogged or your fuel pump went out. This is even more likely if this is an older truck.

Well it sounds like a fuel system issue. Check your fuel pump to make sure it switches on when the key is turned. It might be a blown fuse.
