This depends on how soft the stool is. If it is just soft but has form to it then it might be normal. If it is runny then you may want to take the dog to a vet. Runny stool might be caused by parasites, or other serious problems.

Absolutely, this can be normal. It could also be a minor stomach upset - if you're worried, feed your dog rice, mixed vegetables and chicken for a while. It's a good rule of thumb for stomach upset. It can also be caused by dietary changed, so be aware.

Soft stools may be atributed to many things, the canine may have eaten something that caused his digestive system to not process it right. To much soft stools may cause lost of weight in the animal and dehydration. The animal should be watched and feed chicken and rice.

It can be this really depends on the type of dog food he or she is eating. If they are eating canned dog food they are more known to have a moist softer stool. The dry dog food gives them something a little more firmer. They will have softer stools with human food also.

If the diet has not changed recently, a trip to the vet to check for worms or other problems may be in order. There can be any number of reasons for soft stools, but without more information, it would be unwise to suggest anything else.

Soft stools are normal if the dog is fed a low quality dog food. To firm up the stools feed a premium food with meat as the primary ingredient.

No. Canines are carnivores. Unlike like us humans (omnivores = eat meat and veggies) carnivoes have almost exclusively protein diets. They cannot digest vegetables at all. High protein diets result in hard, firm stools. Runny or soft stools in a canine means there is a disease process occuring. Most likely a bacteria infectin.
