That certainly depends on your own personal opinion, but the popularity of track and field during the Olympics is definitely a good indicator that sports such as pole vaulting have a huge following. It's certainly a unique talent and the athletes are world-class. If those things classify as "cool" to you then I can see your point.

You could certainly argue that it is. Of course everybody is going to have their own opinion on the matter, pole vault is not only incredibly entertaining, but it takes an outrages amount of skill to do it properly. It's up there for sure.
