Possibly depending on how long ago the asthma was. You usually have to be symptom free for at least two to three years. Even then when it comes to asthma you may not be allowed to join as asthma is a very big issue and could limit your performance when it comes to combat.

If you have asthma that requires medication or an inhaler to be managed, you are considered unfit for military service. The army does not want soldiers who require maintenance medication.
