The salary test for exempt employees is met if the employee is paid a certain amount (as defined by the Department of Labor) for each week worked, no matter how many hours are worked in that week. If the employee does not meet the salary test they are not considered exempt employees.

Yes there is a salary test for exempt employees when it comes to 401K plans. You need to meet the wealth test in order to continue to offer a 401K plan.

There is no such type as salary test for exempt employees, they are already in the exemption list only. They get salary by means of small amount without any benefits.

A salary test determines whether someone is salaried or hourly. If employees are salaried, they are paid for sick days, plant closures, jury duty and partial days.
