There was never an official gold dime minted in an U. S. mint. It might just be a normal dime that has been plated with a bit of gold. The gold layer might be quiet thin, which means if you have a coin like that it might not be worth much more than a dime.

The United States has never minted a dime, or any coin of a denomination below $1, out of gold. A gold dime would have been far too small for regular circulation.

If the dime has been electroplated, then it is possible that it is golden. Another possibility is that it has been spray painted golden. Other than that, a golden dime does not exist in the new age/ present world.

No gold dimes were ever minted in the U. S. There are Mercury dimes, which have a high silver content and several small gold coins approximately the size of a dime but no true dimes.
