Yes, the aluminium is a common substance in deodorant. The aluminium salts like Al2O3 are used in almost every antiperspirant because they close pores and stop sweat. It is dangerous because it may cause breast cancer, respiratory disorders and brain disorders and the explorers think that there's a link between Alzheimer's disease and the toxicity of aluminum.

Most antiperspirants and some deodorants contain aluminum compounds – anything between 5 and 30% of the content may be aluminum chlorohydrate. It may cause allergies, and some studies linked it to Alzheimer's disease, breast cancer and increased risks for people with renal dysfunctions, but health authorities have not yet released any final conclusions on the subject.
