Before giving any type of drug like this to an infant, consult the pediatrician. There is not Benadryl for infants on the market and dosage of medication is most times given by weight. Your physician can prescribe something, if necessary but giving your infant children's Benadryl may not be safe.

Benadryl does not recommend use in children under the age of one. Give 0. 5 mg per pound every 4-6 hours. Please be sure your Doctor says it's okay.

There is not any specific Benadryl pill marketed in infant dosages, and children's Benadryl is only recommended for children six and older. However, you can administer Benadryl Allergy Liquid 12. 5 mg/ 5ml in small doses as an anti-histamine only. Never use sedatives on small children and infants. Consult your family doctor about proper dosage and for more treatment options.

There is no Benadryl for infants, only children and adults. Do not give an infant Benadryl unless your doctor has advised you to do so. It is generally safe after age 2.
