If you write your fractions is 3/5, than the "forward slash" character can also be called "solidus", or "fraction solidus".

vinculum is also called a fraction bar. It is a horizontal line placed over a mathematical expression, used to indicate that it is to be considered a group just like as fraction bar.

When a fraction is expressed vertically, the horizontal fraction bar is called a 'vinculum'. If a fraction is expressed horizontally, it can be called a 'solidus'.
