Is there a way to fix scratches in a playstation game?

Sometimes you can fix scratches in optical media (like playstation games, cd's, etc. ) using toothpaste. Spread a tiny bit of toothpaste where the scratches are and use a cotton cloth to gently rub it in. Then wash it with water and let it dry completely.

It depends on where the scratches are. If the scratches are on the top of the cd (where the graphics are) then you are out of luck. If the scratches are on the bottom (the blue or silver part) then you can buff them out with a repair kit.

Yes, you can buy disc doctor kits, which repair scratches and often make games, cds, and dvds play like new again. They are usually pretty cheap and available at most electronics stores.

You can use a commercially available device such as a Skip Dr., but if this is not feasible, you can use a soft cloth, water and MSG to remove superficial scratches.
