There is always the possibility of a natural remedy having adverse interactions with prescription drugs; there hasn't been enough research to study them all. One should always inform their physician of all natural as well as over-the-counter medications being taken, and discuss the pros and cons.

Never combine drugs without the advice of a physician. Evening primrose is a holistic remedy, but it still has potential to cause problem in combination with other drugs. Dilantin and Vicodin should not be combined until you speak to your doctor. The dangers of each alone are noteworthy, not to mention in combination.

Drug interaction between these three drugs may occur as they all require to undergo hepatic (liver) metabolism for it to be safely excreted from our body.
