Is the Vidal Sassoon shampoo you buy in the store the same stuff they use in the salons?

Someone told me the stuff in the store is watered down.

Yes. They are exactly the same. The stuff used in the salons come from the same manufacturers and warehouses that the stuff you can buy in the store came from.

The people at the salon will always tell you that so that you will buy their products instead! The Vidal Sassoon shampoo is the same in the store as salon!

No, it's not. Vidal Sassoon in the stores is owned by Proctor & Gamble. The products in the salons are owned by the Sassoon company. They are totally different products, created by different companies. Vidal Sassoon is not affiliated with either company or any brands that carry his name any more.

I would think shampoo in stores is pretty much the same thing as in salons. I know there is black market for knockoff products, but don't worry about it.
