Is the Valentine One Radar Detector substantially better than others?

Yes it is. The directional arrows are very helpful and the bogey counter tells you how many sources the V1 is picking up. The directional arrows and the bogey counter work well together to inform you of a possible treat. It is the only dash mounted detector with two antennas. The magnesium case is robust and serves its purpose well.

The Valentine One is an excellent radar detector. Not only does it have the best range, it is also the most inconspicuous.

I am not sure about the Valentine Radar detector but I have always used the Passport detector and found it to be a great model and it is also small.

From what I have heard Valentine makes am extremely good product. I'm sure you can find reviews and comparisons online to help understand the difference between other brands.

I have found that the Valentine One Radar Detector is much better then other models that I have used. I would recommend it to anyone.
