Is the elephant ear plant a member of the celosia family?

Answer by  lovelife (998)

Actually, the elephant ear plant is a member of the Caladium family. They are usually planted in the spring and dependent on where you live, they might have to be dug up come winter time. However, if you live in a warmer climate, cover with mulched leaves and they should make it through the winter!
