No. The act of snowshoeing is greatly different from jogging or even sprinting. Snowhoeing involves more of the muscles in the leg, especially the thigh muscles. While taxing to the body, the overall cardiac benefits of snowshoeing can be equal to if not greater than jogging, as much of the activity is anaerobic.

Snowshoeing requires plenty of good lower body co-ordination. Its important to learn to balance the entire body mass on the snowshoe. Also the pace needs to be balanced otherwise there are chances of sinking in the snow. Using pole will help support until you understand to balance well. Though it's not hard it certainly requires practice.

If you believe that snowshoeing is easy than you're right. Imagine going out on a crystal clear day and strapping on your snowshoes. All you have to do is put one foot in front of another and you're on your way. Just remember to stay away from avalanche areas.

It really isn't possible to run in snowshoes. Snowshoes distribute the weight of your mass more evenly so you don't sink in the snow. Moving quickly will cause that weight to be more intense and you will sink, thus nullifying your snowshoes. Use a slow, steady pace.

It is or isn't that hard, depending on how you look at it. It is relative. Is it harder than running on a regular path in regular running shoes? Yes. It isn't so difficult that most people couldn't accomplish it, though.

Running on snowshoes can be just as easy as natural as running in sneakers. The key is to get plenty of lower body training before the run, and let your shoes fall where they may.

Snowshoe running is not hard but it is quite a workout. Make sure the feet are farther apart than usual bit not too much when on snowshoes. And just run as you would on a firm ground. You may opt to use poles which can support you in tough conditions like deep snow, also helps provide full body workout.

If you've ever been snowshoeing before you will know that it's hard to WALK in snowshoes. You sort of waddle like a penguin. So running is even more difficult, but like Mom always said, practice makes perfect. Once you get the hang of it though you should be able to do it quite easily.
