Is powdered vanilla as good s regular vanilla?

No it is not. Technically it's a matter of opinion, but if we're talking about legistitcs here you'll save some money, but lose some taste.

I'm guessing by "regular vanilla" you mean liquid vanilla extract? If so, they are just used for different things. You don't want to bake with powdered vanilla. You can, however, use it in a frosting or icing. Powdered vanilla is really good in coffee to give it flavor, and works well because the heat dissolves the powder.

No. I definitely recommend using regular vanilla over any other "type" of vanilla. The powdered vanilla does not have the same original taste and flavor as the pure regular vanilla.

Regular vanilla? You eat vanilla pods and you are in trouble. Vanilla pods are TOXIC. On the other hand, vanilla is THE flavor for a lot of foods, like ice cream, cakes and chocolate. Powdered vanilla flavors are as good as liquid vanilla essences for most purposes. Follow instructions ...

No. Powdered vanilla may be used in an emergency if no genuine vanilla extract is available; however, the flavor is genuine vanilla is much more nuanced and adds significantly more delicious- and more complex- flavor.
