It depends on what "mosquito spray" they are using?
There are some more environmentally-friendly products.
In general, most mosquito-control products are used in small enough quantities that casual exposure is not that great a risk, unless you are talking about infants/toddlers and very small pets. Avoid contact with freshly-sprayed areas, stagnant water, and eating fish which might have gotten exposed.
