Is man made in God's image?

In the beginning in the book of Genesis with the creation story, it says that God made man in his own image. This probably does not mean that we physically look like God. It is more likely that people at their best are kind and loving like God.

It is often taught in the church that man is made in God's image. Of course, there is no certain fact pertaining to this argument because nobody has ever met God himself to ask him such question. Though there is no definite answer, it is widely accepted that man is made in God's image.
