If the dress is stylish and not so modest, it should be fine. If you're worrying about looking goth, brighten it with your shoes, bag, jewelry, wrap, and other accessories.

Definitely not! If your black dress matches the formality of the wedding and you feel confident in it, you will look stunning. Jazz it up with some colorful jewelry and a cute clutch and you will be good to go.

Wearing black to a wedding has become much more acceptable in the past decade, especially if the wedding is in the fall or winter months. Black is forgiving and therefore a popular dress color choice. I promise, you won't be the only one in black.
