If you have a toxic or unhealthy relationship with your family, then no, it's not wrong. Just make sure that's truly what you want and not a spur-of-the moment decision.

It's your wedding and it's your business who you invite. That said, it may be worth the trade off to invite relatives for one day if it would cause longer conflicts in future. If you both limit your guest lists, exclusions may look less conspicuous.
