It is possible to get rid of them using treatments ranging from creams such as Retin-A, to more active measures like Micro-Dermabrasion where the outer layer of the skin is removed. Laser surgery is also used but it does not remove them, only fades them after a number of treatments.

You cannot totally get rid of strech marks. They are marks in your skin from your skin being stretched out. No product out there will make them go away. It is just like a scar and doesn't just disappear. Most of the products out there only state that they will reduce the sight of stretch marks, not get rid of.

No, there are no real proven ways to get rid of stretch marks. Unfortunately, products are marketed to women promising a quick fix, but most don't work.

Stretch marks will eventually fade in time. There are some creams and lotions that help repair the damaged skin - they help to heal the scars. But they will not go away completely. They are basically scars on your skin from being stretched so far.
