You can get a free trial download; also, some places give discounts to students. Also, there are professional and regular versions of photoshop (latter cheaper, but does less) or you can buy as part of suite. Photoshop is a great program and worth every cent you pay for it.

It is in fact possible to acquire a free, function-limited demo of Photoshop 7.0. A simple web search for "Photoshop 7.0 demo" or "Photoshop 7.0 trial" will lead to various download sites.

Adobe releases a limited trial version of all their current software - it is possible to find their old software (such as Adobe photoshop 7) in trail format on archived sites, though not on Adobe's own website. Getting the full version would be much more difficult as you would have to acquire it second hand; Adobe no longer makes it.

It is not very likely to find a free full version of Photoshop. You can however go to Adobe's website and download a trial version of the software. They are usually good for about 30 day and may or may not have all the features available to try.
