Your dog really needs to be under the care of a veterinarian or she and her pups might not make it. Sleeping outside and giving birth in isolation are not appropriate. She needs you to be close to her at this time.
Provided that your dog is comfortable outdoors and the weather is neither too hot or too cold, giving birth outdoors is fine. Animals in the wild do so and like it or not a dog is still an animal.
Of course this is okay, as long as you can easily get to the dog and puppies if you or your veterinarian need to assist in any way. Remember, your dog will pick the spot she is most comfortable with to give birth to her puppies.
I think yes. Dogs know what to do. So does a human, its natural, you do what you have to. I would just make sure to check on her every now and then in case she needs anything.
