Not medical advice: YES. The embryonic heart/fetus is heard 22 day after conception. So it is normal not to hear the heartbeat prior to this time. Best of luck.

I was pregnant with twins and had my first vaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks, no noticeable heartbeats heck, it took them another 3 weeks to notice there were twins! I don't recall the time frame in which it is normal to "see" or hear a first heartbeat, but I think it is in the range of 12 to 16 weeks.

I don't think you would be able to detect a heart beat at seven days pregnant. Usually you don't even find out you are pregnant until about 4 weeks in (counts from the date of you last period). The heart beat does not start until sometime between six and eight weeks.

Are you sure that you are indeed pregnant? Did you take a pregnancy test with your doctor or at home to see if you have the human growth hormone? Cause seven days seems to soon to even know for sure.
