Is it normal to have cramps after working out on a treadmill?

I get leg cramps after I do a thirty minute workout on my treadmill.

Make sure you are doing your warm up before you start your core exercise. It sounds like you are going into your core before you have had a chance to ease your muscle into it. Try for at least two to five minutes before.

It depends on how long you have been doing this kind of workout. If it is within the first few weeks, then it is normal. If not, consult a doctor.

Cramps could be a normal reaction for a couple reasons. If you have not worked out in a long time and then worked out very hard, cramps are normal. Also, if you did not drink enough water before, during, or after the workout, cramps are normal.

Generally muscle cramping is due to lactic acid uild up in that area. drinking enough water during the day does help. proper nutrition and stretching out before and after any workout helps.
