In order to import a car into Mexico, the car has to pass a few tests. To name a few, It has to pass Mexicos Saftey Standard Test and Crash Test Ratings.

Yes, you can import them but obviously you need an application. And you also have to pay a duty tax on it. So it might not be worth it in the long run.
