Is it considered spoiling to get my daughter a dress-up chest?

It would be a bureau or trunk filled with "dressy" clothes.

I don't feel that anyone would be spoilong their child under this circumstance. In this situation, the parent is encouraging creativity and imagination. Boys and girls alike need this to a degree, this assists in child development and wholesome fun. It also encourages positive communication between the child and others involved. Spoiled children get their way when fits are thrown.

I don't think so. Playing dress up is a great way for kids to explore pretend play. They build their imagination skills and have a lot of fun creating stories to go with what they are wearing.
