Well some abdominal swelling is to be expected around the incision scar. But if the swelling is really painfull and you start developing a fever contact your doctor.

Any surgery can result in some swelling. However, if the swelling persists or is painful, you should visit your doctor so he can rule out an infeciton.

You may develop minor swelling, this can result from fluid and can be treated at the office. If you have chills, vomiting, fever, drainage, inability to urinate see your doctor IMMEDIATELY.

It would be ok to have some sort of swelling by the incision site but you should not have too much swelling anywhere else. I would call your Dr.

it is very common among all patients of hernia. The hernia surgery not only causes swelling in abdomen but also in legs, joints etc. It can also cause inflammation. But you need not to worry about it. Its not a big deal. It will go away sooner. If not so you can consult your doctor
