Is it better to charbroil hamburgers on your patio or in your kitchen?

Does it cause a lot of smoke?

Never, ever burn charcoal in the house. Burning charcoal generates dangerous carbon monoxide and CO2 at levels that can easily kill the people in the house. Only burn charcoal outdoors. "Charbroilers" used indoors are not actually burning charcoal.

I happen to like the burgers cooked on the grill on the patio. Of course, you should never use a charcoal grill in the house.
