Is it appropriate to throw a surprise birthday party for an 80-year-old?

I think it's totally appropriate to throw a surprise birthday party for an 80-year old! Everybody loves surprises, regardless of their age! But instead of having everyone jump out yelling surprise, why not just invite people over and surprise the person that way. You could set up decorations and have food ready-to-serve!

It is definitely fine to give surprise birthday party for an 80-year old. What we need to take care is to arrange the party as a very pleasant one and avoid more noise and sterio sounds. When you give some surprise gifts which will really make him/her happy, the party will be wonderful.
