Is it alright to copy choreography you see on choreography videos?

I don't want to do anything illegal.

Unless the choreography is copyrighted to a specific dancer or dance team or choreographer, it is legal. In order to be safe, always pay tribute to the choreographer

I believe it is alright to copy choreography seen in videos if used only for the purposes of learning about that particular piece of dance.

I think it is ok. I was in show choir in high school and the professional that choreographed our show did. So I would not worry too much about it. A lot of songs have dances that go with them. I think it might also be important what you are doing it for.

Of course it is ok if you are not going to use it somewhere on the stage and say that it is your choreography. If you are going to use it on the stage then you must say who created this choreography because some of videos might be with authority.

well I'm not really sure but my ance teacher did this without really telling us so when we found out we were pretty mad so make sure to give credit to the actual chregrapher;)
