Is God testing us?

Some believers insist that we cannot know the mind of God and therefore, we cannot know what God's intentions are or if in fact they are to test us. However, it's important to realize that most people lack a long view of history and fail to understand that there are cycles of very dark periods and golden ages in history.

Yes God test's us, but that is not why the world gets worse. Adam started sin and every day we get further and further into a fallen condition. That is why the world gets worse.
