The first thing that should be ruled out is diabetes. A simple blood test can establish this. Frequent urination can also be caused by a weak bladder. A possible solution could be taking a magnesium supplement daily. Drinking water instead of other drinks can also help with this problem.

It really depends on how much fluid you take in. True frequency is usually accompanied by nocturia. Commonest cause for frequency of urination is infection. It can also be the first symptom of diabetics. Other causes include benign prostatic hypertrophy in males, detrusor instability and overflow incontinence. For younger generation, the emerging cause is ketamine abuse causing cystitis.

If you are drinking large quanities of fluid, this really shouldn't be an issue. However, if your are not then you may want to see your health care provider, ecspecially if you have burning or pain. In the meantime try drinking cranberry juice to alleviate symptoms.

It could be a problem. I would recommend you contact your doctor. Going more than 8 times a day is abnormal.
