The six basic Roman or Romance (sometimes called Latin or Neolatin) languages are French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Catalan and Portugeues. There are several other less-widely spoken variations, like Sicilian, Corsican, Venetian and others.

French is a language based on continental Gaelic at its origins and of course Latin after the Roman conquest. Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian and French are all Romantic languages.
