Is cider vinegar a good fruit fly remedy?

If you want to use it as a trap, by putting in a jar with a small holes punched in the top, it may- but this works because it ATTRACTS them. Remove what will attract them, don't leave food out, particularly that with a sugar or fruit content. Misting with rubbing alcohol is helpful.

Vinegar and also beer can be used to attract and trap little black bugs. They love the smell of anything sour. Wine is another good choice.

Cider vinegar is a commonly used to get rid of fruit flies. It has an odor, which is probably why it attracts the fruit fly. There is an option of covering the Cider vinegar with plastic and poking holes. This might also cut down on the odor in the area while still being strong enough to attract the flies.
