Is Balvenie scotch considered top-shelf?

It can vary with the age of the bottle (older is better, and it'll say), but Balvenie is a good brand of scotch and is definitely top-shelf.

Balvenie is a very good Speyside single malt. A single malt is considered more exclusive than a blend. Additionally, as a whisky is aged, it is considered better. Balvenie has several malts in excess of 15 years. It tends to have a slight peatiness, which some people may not enjoy.
