In comparison to an electric heater, an LP heater can cost 15-20 percent less to run. LP gas is a fuel which is clean burning, long lasting, relatively easy to buy and safe. Luckily, the price of Propane, (LP being another name for this) has not been regulated, allowing suppliers to lower the cost.

The cost of gas natural or lp varies in comparison to oil. Generally gas will be cheaper overall and has a higher efficieny then oil. As long as research is done as to what size unit will be needed and what the heat loss of the area being heated is a lp gas heater can be a cost saving option.
