Is a tractor automatically a 4x4?

Or is there something better than 4x4?

A tractor is not necessarily a 4X4. A 4x4 means that it has all wheel drive, and I Have seen some tractors that are just rear wheel drive. That is why they have really big tires on the rear end, because pushing a vehicle is easier than pulling it. It all depends on the tractor though.

I don't think there are many older tractors are four wheel drive. Newer tractor may be though. Unless there is a six wheeled tractor the four wheeled one offers the most amount of traction out there.
