This largely depends on quite a few things, including the size and color of the tattoo you're wanting to cover up. Generally cover up tattoos are large and dark. A sun tattoo would most likely be made up of mostly light and bright colors, not a lot of black or dark colors. Not likely a good cover-up.

That all depends on what kind of tattoo you currently have. Do you have a large tattoo? Or a really dark one?

Easy answer, no. The best way to cover an old tattoo is to get a bigger one over it with the darkess color over the old one.
