Is a microwaved baked potato as good as one baked in the oven the old fashioned way?

Yes - follow the instructions on the microwave. Test the potato by piercing it with a fork - the fork should go in very easy

Baked potatoes come out the same from the microwave and the oven except for the skin. For those of us that love the skin, you need to oven back the potatoes. Something about the oven leave the skin ready for butter and eating all those vitimins. But for a working gal - the microwave works!
