Is a batter dispenser really helpful?

It can be helpful if you are trying to make same size pancakes, donuts etc. I find them to be more of a mess to use because of the drips and all. It also becomes another item to clean then just ladling the batter. Also you need to have storage space for this gadget.

It can be if you are making pancakes or anything that you want basically in the same size. You also have more control with this than in a bowl, etc.

I could see how they would be helpful if you are clumsy or un-coordinated but for an normal person they are pointless. Unless you must have perfectly round pancakes every single time then then are useful. I say skip it and use the money on something you need.
