Is a BA in international studies good for law school?

Yes, International Studies can be an excellent degree for jumping into law school. More important than your actual degree, however, is your GPA. Law school admissions boards use a formula multiplying your GPA by your LSAT score to make the bulk of their admissions decisions. So get good grades!

Your undergraduate major is unimportant for law school. The most important things that you can do as an undergraduate to prepare for law school is get a lot of practice and instruction on your writing and public speaking skills. Numerous majors, including international studies, can accomplish this.

Yes, especially if you are interested in international law. Law schools accept students with practically any academic background as long as their grades are good, they do well on the LSAT and have completed at least 3 years of a BA (although graduation is preferred).
