I would follow the recommendation of the orthodontist, but it's not a bad idea to go see your dentist and get their opinion. Wisdom teeth can shift other teeth. After spending all that money on braces, it's better to get them out before they cause problems. 14 isn't too young.

yes, usually the healing process is much less complicated at a younger age. The older the patient, the greater the risk of developing diseases such as periodontitis in the future.
