In what states is euthanasia legal for people?

I believe that the only states where euthanasia is legal are Michigan and Oregon. Assisted suicides have been performed in other states but have resulted in criminal charges. This is a thorny legal questions as both sides in the debate have merit.

Euthanasia, the act of ending someone's life by withdrawing or denying care, is only legal in all states when someone has a Do Not Resuscitate order and the family consents. Assisted suicide is only legal in Oregon, Montana, and Washington state.
