Sit him down for a talk and tell him you don't think a relationship is the best thing for you at this point in your life.

If you still care about this guy, let him down gently. Try telling him that you are not ready for a serious commitment. If you don't care about his feelings, just stop returning his calls and emails or tell him you've met someone better.
