If I require a spinal fusion, what should my workman's comp settlement be?

The amount of settlement will be determined by the amount of disability you have. Usually, your state Industrial Relations Dept. will have established disability tables for specific injuries. The goal of surgery is to provide relief and/or correction of a problem, and hopefully limit your disability.

It varies from state to state. Some states place a fairly low cap on workman's compensation. Other states have higher limits, you should talk to an attorney for specifics.
