If I have amenorrhea can I still get pregnant?

I have amenorrhea and would love to have a baby.

Yes. Lack of a period does not necessarily mean you are not fertile; you could still possibly ovulate. But you should have a checkup with your doctor to find out why you have amenorrhea; if you are underweight, malnourished or suffering from a disease, you may need a doctor's advice regarding how to make sure your baby is healthy.

Amenorrhea can be caused by many different conditions, but it comes down to a hormone imbalance. This hormone imbalance causes your body not to trigger ovulation. If you have amenorrhea because you have a reproductive disease or you are not ovulating for a different reason, you will most likely need to consult your doctor before trying to conceive.

You need to have a period in order to ovulate and get your uterus ready for a baby. Talk to your doctor about provera to jump start your periods.

try to fix your amenorrhea first because this will affect your pregnancy and it will result to unhealthy pregnancy and baby. consult a doctor first for possible side effects for you and the planned preganancy
