If I had just some car repairs done, should I have white smoke coming out of the tail pipe?

White smoke coming out of the tail pipe, as long as it isn't exceptionally thick, is just exaust and comes out the back of all vehicles. This smoke is more visible during the winter, but it present at all times all year long. If your car didn't use to have such thick smoke, something may have changed.

White smoke usually means water in the exhaust system, but it could mean a cracked head. Is the white smoke when you first start it up?
